A MESSAGE AND ADVICE FROM JEFFREY GITOMER: BEST SELLING AUTHOR AND SPEAKER

Hi RobMac, Attached are Jeffrey’s rules of business golf — and our pictures from the land of golf greatness!

And this was his advice about playing against McDougall’s in the game of golf:
“Know that they’re better than everybody else. Actually, everybody else pretty much sucks except John and Rob. But their father’s can kick both their asses. Someone is always ONE STROKE better. Ask Phil Mickelson.”
— Jeffrey Gitomer

Hope you guys have a great weekend! ~Jessica McDougall

18.5 Greatest Rules of Business Golf

1. MAKENICE. Establish a friendship first.
2. TALKGOLF. The first talk is golf talk.
3. MAKEREALRAPPORT. Find the link.
4. GIMMIEGIMMIE. Establish the rules for the play of the game before the first shot.
5. JUSTPLAY. It’s a game, not a championship. Have a blast, not a heart attack.
6. CHILLOUT. Relax and have a good time. Too intense of an effort puts more balls in the water than bad shots.
7. NOJACK. Only wager on the outcome if everyone is agreeable.
8. GETAGRIP. Don’t show your ass.
9. ABSTAINBROTHER. Keep the big three to a minimum – smoking (cigars), swearing (the big bad words), and swigging (alcohol).
10. PLAYBALL Golf rules and golf etiquette are there for a reason – to be followed. Play like a member.
11. HONESTABE. Let your ethics on the course be a reflection of your ethics of doing business after the game.
12. RESPONDFIRST. Talk business when they start to talk business.
13. YONOPRO. If you don’t fancy yourself a golf pro, don’t give lessons.
14. KEEPSAKE. Make every round memorable (gift balls, photographs, trophy).
15. LIGHTNINGSTRIKES. Be on the lookout for luck. If you’re ready for it, it will happen.
16. YONOLEMMING. Don’t follow someone else’s lead if they are doing the wrong thing.
17. STAYUP. Don’t get down on yourself if your playing crappy.
18. GETDOWN. Cheer others on to victory. Applaud their great shots.
18.5 ELEPHANTBALLS. They will never remember the score, but they will always remember the day – and how you acted.

Thanks for sharing this with us Jeffrey! and Jessie, (although 7, 8 and 9 might be impossible for our group), especially showing the ass part. cheers.
